New Colors Coming Soon!

I’ve been hard at work lately coming up with 3 new designs that continue to expand the Inkefx brand. With those new designs come some new colors. For this release I have chosen to release them on American Apparel 50/50 in the following colors – Heather Kelly Green, Heather Lake Blue and Heather Black. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks at the new designs. I have appreciated all the support and words of encouragement from everyone, definitely keep them coming.

Inkefx vs. SeiBei – Tee Madness 2012 Contest

Let me just start off by saying how much fun it was to participate in the Tee Madness 2012 contest. This was my first year to participate and as much as I would have wanted to continue to the next round I have to give it up to SeiBei. They have a great brand, great fans and I wish them nothing but the best.

I learned a lot. I learned how committed Inkefx friends, family and most of all the fans are. When I was in need of votes you guys chipped in, no questions asked! You guys even began to share with other friends by posting on your walls and through twitter. I really did appreciate all the support from everyone, I can’t say it enough.

I also learned what other indie tShirt companies used to help gain momentum. Using FaceBook and Twitter were the obvious choices but some companies became more involved by offering up prizes if they hit certain marks or make it to the next round. Some people were offering 20% – 40% off merchandise if they made it to the next round and even FREE shirts. Everyone was very clever and I hope to implement similar ideas next year.

I want to say thanks to Adam from IAmTheTrend.com and Zach from BlueTideProductions.com for organizing everything and making it such a fun experience even for someone like me that went out in the first round. Thanks to SeiBei for being a good sport. And I want to say thanks to all my friends, family and fans for supporting Inkefx and helping us get to where we are today.

Make Kony Famous in 2012

I’m sure most of you have seen the viral video KONY 2012, “a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.”

I took the challenge and pledged to continue to spread the word as well as picked up a 2012 Action Kit as a tool to do so. I encourage you to at least watch the video and decide for yourself.

Inkefx Storage

I’ve always found it intriguing to see other tShirt shops storage solutions. While I am extremely small compared to most brands, it is still important to try and stay as organized as possible. I found some inexpensive solutions from our local Ikea store that keeps everything nice and organized while I run Inkefx.

It’s really simple actually, a frame with wired baskets that slide in and out. A frame that holds 4 baskets costs $9.99 and each basket will run you about $2.50. I’ve found that I can fit about 20 packaged shirts in each basket.

Just got a shipment in that I’m super excited about. I got these bracelets so that I can include one with every Inkefx purchase. Just a little something extra to say thanks for supporting what I do. There are 4 color combos that you could possibly receive with your shirt, red and white, black and white, black and yellow and white and black. Inkefx Featured on Big Cartel

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to answer some questions for Big Cartel about Inkefx, how I run it, why I chose Big Cartel, etc. I really do enjoy their product and always recommend it to anyone that is just starting out selling products online and have a tight budget. New Shirt Color Options

Well, I have been working on some new shirt designs and have been narrowing down which colors I want to use for the next Inkefx release. Definitely interested in seeing what you guys prefer for the next 3 or 4 shirt colors. All shirts will still be printed on American Apparel but this time using the 50/50 blend. I am currently only considering one of the tri-blend colors for this next release, I know how much you guys enjoyed the first set of shirts printed on the tri-blend, they are definitely one of the most comfortable shirts I have ever worn.

Inkefx tShirt Features

One thing that has really helped the launch of Inkefx has been all of the blogs and galleries that have featured Inkefx on their site. It’s amazing how much traffic it can help generate and how quickly it can spread. What most people don’t realize is that, in some cases, you become featured on one blog and all of a sudden 3 other blogs write a review about you based on that one feature. Bloggers seem to follow other bloggers especially in the same industry and if they enjoy what they see or think it will help generate buzz on their site, they will get in on the action.

Here are just a few of the blogs and sites that have helped me launch Inkefx and create an awesome fan base. Appreciate the support and all the time invested in writing about Inkefx!
